Blockchain and related technologies enable the storage of immutable records in a decentralised fashion, even in absence trust between system participants. Financial applications (like cryptocurrencies) are just the tip of the iceberg. They have not only disrupted multiple application fields, and but also created whole new ecosystems around them. Switzerland and South Korea (and more specifically the areas around Zürich and Seoul) are world-renowned hubs in the development of these disruptive technologies. For example, Trust Square has become the largest blockchain hub in the world, hosting one of the most diverse ecosystems in the area. Seoul is also evincing a vivid, rapidly diversifying community.
The idea of this public event is to be a focal point where the ecosystems in Zurich and Seoul introduce representative, high profile projects with large growth potential. They will also get together, share experiences, and discuss with business leaders for growth opportunities.
The event will be opened by Daniel Gasteiger (from Trust Square), and representatives of the Sogang University.
