Christoph Stiefel Solo - Sofienberg Spirits

Zurich born and based pianist, Christoph Stiefel has found a mature personal style that raises him into the illustrious circle of the innovators and really great composers and performers of contemporary jazz. His solo project is equally anchored in the world of classical as it is in Jazz. For his own inimitable style, he uses a compositional technique (known as Isorhythmic) from the Middle Ages and thus creates a contemporary jazz variant. In his solo playing, Stiefel is completely focused and yet it seems as though he is working with himself as the band.
